Thailand LAB & FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2021 succeed to organize the Fully Virtual Event
Attracting the participants of more than 7,737 from 34 countries!
VNU Asia Pacific in collaboration with Science and Technology Trade Association (STTA) and the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) reveals the success of the event of Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2021 and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2021, held on 27-29 October 2021 through a fully online platform for the first time due to the pandemic situation of the COVID-19. Besides, at the beginning of September the Bio Asia Pacific 2021 was also held through a fully online platform. The event of Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2021 and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2021 has received the feedback from many participants working in the scientific laboratory equipment, life sciences and chemical industries who were interested to visit the exhibition and attended the online conferences and seminars.
Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL had welcomed 7,737 participants from 34 countries around the world which was divided into 5,613 conference attendees who attended those 33 conferences and seminars by 130 keynotes and experts from various agencies from the public and private sectors and2,124 trade visitors who visited the virtual exhibition and booths which is another tools to establish linkage for manufacturers, trader and buyers into this platform. While Bio Asia Pacific had welcomed 2,707 online trade visitors with 2,156 were conference attendees. This will be another year to prove that the need of the development of laboratory, life sciences and chemical industries has never stopped and there is an increasing demand for new technologies and innovations from both local and international to enhance the improvement of R&D, the better of quality control and assurance as well as the high production efficiency.
Mr. Anucha Parnpichate, Senior Project Manager, VNU Exhibition Asia Pacific Co., Ltd cited that “Despite numerous crises that urge the many organizers to adjust the strategy to organize the physical event to a fully online platform this year, VNU as an organizer continues to receive an unprecedented support from partner and stakeholders including the public sector, private sector and related educational institutions that help to make this year’s event a success with full quality for the online exhibition and conferences that meet the needs of the industry this year. In this year’s event, VNU Asia Pacific launched the new campaign to promote and create the engagement among academics and research institutes related to the scientific laboratory technology industry and the life sciences and chemical industries.This campaign was to grant the 5,000 THB scholarships for the student or postgraduate who made a pre-register and attend the event. There were lucky winners from 3 educational institutions: Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. It is hoped thatthis scholarship will be the starting point that helps to promote and build awareness to the students to enter more into this industry.
Mrs. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) stated that “Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL is a large platform that includes all the work related to the laboratory such as tools and equipment as well as the analytics, metrology experiments and research in different fields. It is a centre of knowledge, experts and the latest news updates on technology and innovation through seminars and academic conferences. It also creates opportunities for the business alliance, academic cooperation and enhance the development of national capacity for the technological tools development which will be beneficial to the operators, service users and visitors in the future.”
Dr. Sirasak Teparkum, CEO of Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Science (TCELS) added that “At present, Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL can be considered as an internationally recognized exhibition of innovations, tools, equipment and technology in scientific laboratory equipment and is regarded as one of the leaders in the region. Hence, this will help to foster a broad research and development in many industries including the life science industry.”
